Over the Grass

I feel so smug. My story is finished. well...part one is finished. now i have to write part two and three. Happy happy me though, it worked out exactly as planned. now, if only someone would review it. lol. not that fangirls are interested in anything that doesn't involve angsty gay bishonen panting over their sorry fates and how beautiful they are. two words...Puh-LEEZE!
The Vespa Shot. The Ice Cream Shot. The gang from Florence. The Gang from Rome.

Cat's in the cradle
well, they must rain into my life, kittens of all sizes and colours. The current boarder in Patches' home is a teeny black kitten named Lotus, alias squeaker. Having him around makes me feel an awful lot like Tefnut trying to raise kitten Lotus. He sure is clever, for such a young mite, constantly getting into things. and he's litter-trained which makes me thank Bast for small blessings. he's also an attention slut, just try untangling yourself from him to sleep! or, try getting him to nap while you type...

Through the Veil
no, i'm not referencing HP. gods forbid i do that!
actually it's an instrumental piece by a little-known Egyptian group.
eventually, a lo-ong eventually mind, i'll have every single one of my 1000-odd italy pics posted. for now at least i got them processed.
and this Middle East crisis hooplah is starting to grate on my nerves. I mean who honestly believes there aren't ways for the refugees to get out and there aren't a bunch of nasty people taking advantage of the situation? who honestly can see Israel sending bombs to a TOURIST-CENTERED, not terrorist-hideout, not militant-refuge, a place where ORDINARY CITIZENS OF LEBANON AND THE VISITING PEOPLE, and calling it a war? This eye for an eye bullshit is MASS STUPIDITY because if they're tired of having innocent israelis killed then why the fucking hell can't they send soldiers after the actual people responsible, instead of putting their backs against that wailing wall and bombing the be-jeezus out of any neighbouring country. that just sets them up for more bloody retaliations. and the cycle remains as vicious as ever.
IF INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE DYING ON BOTH SIDES THEN WHY DON'T THE COUNTRIES WITH A BIT OF SANITY AND RESTRAINT LEFT JUST DO SOMETHING?!?!?!? of course they won't. i'd be happier and sleep easier at night if i knew that most of the world's power-mongers were put on a rocket, complete with all their nuclear weapons and suicidal fanatics, sent to pluto and left their to blow each other up. then maybe the 2000 odd people left on earth will work in some idealized self-sustaining commune until global warming kills them off.
thus the human race will stutter to a halt in the shithole of the world. poor animals.

Alanis Morissette Thank U
an segueway into My semi-rant on the Middle East.
WHAT THE BLOODY HELL?!
of course, no one in power really factors in the human toll. I just want to know what Lebanon did (Lebanon, i mean, LEBANON, 'the fucking hell is going on there?)to annoy Israel.
I want to know why that second Tsnumai isn't making more news.
I want people to remember the first Tsunami because i do, the earthquake in Pakistan, the fact that our Canadian troops in Afghanistan are constantly in danger and under fire and it was America's idiotic perogative they followed...grr fucking please.
Blind Melon, No Rain
Let's all join the kingdom of the Queen Bee!! A feel-good vid if ever i saw one.

Drink up baby doll, let go
Ok, now that i've over-dosed on YouTube, i've gotten back to the basics. writing. reading. the occassional plan for a drawing. considerable mass-edits on the scripts. it's somewhat disheartening and extremely invigorating to know that i'm scrapping everything after episode 2 in order to re-draft the series and let it take its proper course. Lotus begins as a murderer and i have a very good dramatic premise in that. thread some subterfuge and espionage, your classic sexed-up cloak and daggers. it'll work until Re-vamped Arc 5 takes over and from then on my problems will be ones of technical rather than meta skill. i've meta-ed arcs 5-7 to DEATH!!! (speaking of death, MAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGNNNNNNNNNNUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSS)
i'm also repainting my room. it's wonderful deep, vivid blue. it feels like i'm swimming. i shall equip it with lots of stuffed teddy-fish and Indian pillows and i'll have a Blue Rajah Room. however before i get that far i first have to get the damn room FINISHED!
checked out Andy Poolhall. now i remember why i find Toronto nightlife so interesting...we live in such a patch-quilt city! And anyone who hasn't walked the stretch from W Queen W at Bathurst to College at 23:00 will not know what i'm talking about.

Marie Antoinette
this is why i love history, because you can add The Cure and it all comes out alright.

Samurai Champloo Opening Credits
this song makes me feel stoned (in a good way) every time i hear it.
South Park: Lets Fighting Love
i burst a gut laughing when i first saw this. thanks YAMA, for curing me of my anime fandom lol.
Tarkan Hup
yay, now you can watch tv on my blog.
i find him "inspiring" and "amusing" at the same time.
Bond
not the super-spy...the super string quartet. All women too, grrl-power!!
I HATE being a paladin. for one thing my instincts are naturally allied with the forces of chaos and...well i would hope neutrality. i'm not evil after all, just mischievous. i do not like being forced to follow a moral code which strait-jackets my abilities. must learn to be flexible. all my gut-reactions must be ignored in favour of the high and noble and BORING path.
argh!
writing now coming quite well, although i'm not looking forward to tweaking the scripts, which i know need major repairs, nevermind the tweaks.
and i have to paint my room. blegh, chores.

Such Boundless Pleasures
My apologies to Frou Frou for mixing her "Beauty in the Breakdown" with Dido. Personally I find Frou Frou to be a more compelling singer.
St. Clair went mad yesterday, and I still feel warm and tingly and in love with Buffon. And I finally got my iced-cap. So a good day all ‘round. Zidane can retire to the derision of red-cards. PAH!

Same as it ever was
the final approaches, i have to pretend that i'm not cheering for italy so the Fate Demons won't curse France with a victory.
ITALIA
I know have literary-pretensions to go with my normal ones...try to find me on fictionpress.net
And although i still long for Rome with every fibre of my being (especially with all these hot days. i used to go to Circo Massimo to read and sunbathe. Then i'd meander past the Colosseum on my way to pay homage to Julius Caesar's statue and then wash my feet off in the Vittoriano.) Downtown Toronto is looking pretty cool. for one thing, there are more CRAZY people here. for another, i can find all sorts of weird little shops on Yonge street that sell gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, with a generous helping of whozits and whatzits galore. and lest we forget the twenty thing-a-ma-bobs. but off couorse, the only thing i bought was Angel Sanctuary. now i know why i find manga so distasteful. Angel Sanctuary (and most Drama-Shojo) have NO BACKGROUNDS!!! c'mon, that's why you have pencil-monkeys! i personally abhore drawing backgrounds but i recognize their necessity...and it's mere lack of skill that prevents me drawing out Bubastis, Villanova, The Corona and all my other fantastical cities. In addition to this, manga's favour a downright pretentious level of complexity in their plots, coupled with an inherent dislike of female characters (in favour of truly wretched bishonen...i hate bishonen. they're all a bunch of self-absorbed, uninteresting prats) , and a love of complex and ill-conceived panel-layouts... i will hopefully never suffer the same set-backs as Angel Sanctuary, whom i owe a grudging debt of gratitude.

Have You Guys Ever Heard of Carmine The Bowler?

The Paladin Code of Honour
Help the poor, sick and defenceless
Combat corruption and evil in any form
Never to knowingly or willingly aid the side of evil or unlawfulness
To respect all sovereign laws if they be themselves good and honourable
To never gain advantage through dishonourable means; cheating, lying, stealing.
To never strike a helpless enemy, nor to attack an enemy through dishonourable means; poison, magic, through mercenary or outside interference
Death awaits us all, but while alive, bring Honour to your family and race.
Respect the knowledge of the Court.
Spread the Faith
To behave always with courtesy, respect, dignity and honour.
To shun wordly wealth as it is a path to corruption
To keep all oaths and to never go back on a promise or oath made in good faith.
Yes, a dweeb wrote this while wearing my skin. Obviously I personally won't live this code, got to give them Paladins something to do.
The soccer final draws near. Go Del Piero! give the French-fries hell, Buffon! don't let a single goal in!
Andrea is a human tempest. I'd like to learn to control my bouts of wild, destructive (and entirely silent) rage...violence is the first resort of a limited mind, after all.
The best way to combat said rage is to force yourself to think of happier things. To re-read Half-Blood Prince. Drink tea. Listen to Frou-Frou. Plan how to deal with the comic-conundrum
I have a temporary plan, the original 3 Arc idea being bust. Arc 3 will be nixed and the original arc 1 roughly corresponds to the new arc 3 (i count my back-story), arc 2 becomes arc 4 and will segueway nicely into arc 5 and 6. unfortunately i will have to re-focus on a point i have been ignoring for some time; Lotus starts the story as a murderer...what to do, what to do? where'd he hide the body?!

Free for the taking
that is how Boccaccio portrays women.
this whole job-hutning thing sucks.
this tempermental Canadian weather...sucks
if italy loses in the final...that will...suck
I've been keeping up with the internet-Joneses lately by re-reading all of my fansites.
It's beena very long time since i visited an anime fan-site. almost a scary experience. and since being back in Canada i've had a nostalgia for my old cartoon faves. watched Escaflowne for the first time in maybe...a year. i plan to re-watch Reign as well. and find eps of Gem and the Holograms to download. old tv shows were cool. old Legend of Zelda rocked. i miss fandoms.

Mondiali di Calcio due
That was a fuckin' beautiful goal from Del Piero
but ever since i first watched an Italy match (against Ghana, and my ghod the Azzuri played like pussies) i loved poor frustrated Buffon. and again...poor frustrated Buffon. every match i watched featured a poor, frustrated Buffon. and after Buffon comes Nesta, Del Piero, Camoranesi and hot-headed Jaquinta. don't know why, but i like the hot-head.
And now i too, after i swore i wouldn't, after the ruthless fun we poked at the soccer-fanatic Woodbridge wannabes, am longing to be in sweaty, overcrowded Rome so i can enjoy the proper thrill of ITALY IS IN THE SEMIS BI-OTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUZZAH
and i miss my cousins more than ever because i can finally talk soccer with them. although Totti is a primadonna and not a soccer player, IMHO
now i know that longing for Italy. I keep having Rome overlayed over suburban Toronto. and i can't walk the Colosseum twice a day any more.
however i also miss my tea and my home library. and movies. and talking to people
but then i miss being able to go to a piazza and enjoya gelato
back and forth it goes
